moving default omi markers

Recommended Posts

I downloaded the FRF groups KDFW and replaced my simflyers kdfw since it was soooo out of date. But now my 18R and 17C, the mm and im are wrong and I can't delete them nor can I move them. The mm's are about where the im's should be and the im are about 200 ft down the runways. I think this is because they used to be shorter and now they're all the same length. Is there away to fix this? When I tried to delete them I got the message I couldn't delete stock navaids only move or modify. But I can't do that either. Can anyone help?

>>Is there away to fix this?>Markers unlike a ILS, VOR or NDB's are locked inside FS9/FSX. This is why they cannot be moved, excluded or deleted. You first need a decompiler such as SDE in order to find the markers which are located in the 0202/APX22200.bgl for KDFW.Once you identify by LAT/LON for which markers are in the wrong position you could move them as per the saved XML with a new Lat Lon and then recompile the APX22200.bgl with the BGLComp compiler. You would then need to backup the original FSX bgl and place your new bgl in its place. NOTE !!!!!This is not recommened if you have intentions of uploading your KDFW to any web site but only a fix on your own personal computer.MS and ACES has openly stated on AVSIM that FS9/FSX stock files are not to be tampered with and uploaded.
