Hi,Have recently made some scenery for the state of Alaska in Fs9 which I thought it might be worth trying to upload to see if anyone might want to try out/maybe test etc.. The scenery is for default Fs9 and is terrain mesh for pretty much the whole mainland state as well as coastlines and lakes (hopefully in correct position and roughly correct elevation!). The area covered is roughly:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/193121.jpgThere should be 2 zip files to download if interested.1. Ld7Tn.zip: Terrain Mesh2. AkScnCstLk.zip: Coastlines and lakes (and large rivers).Installation is as follows if interested:1. Install mesh: Unzip Folder Ld7Tn from Ld7Tn.zip. Place folder in Fs9 Addon Scenery folder or any desired location and add as scenery as normal in Fs9 as a high layer.2. Install Coastlines/Lakes/Rivers: Unzip Folder AkScnCstLk from AkScnCstLk.zip. Place folder in Fs9 Addon Scenery folder or any desired location and add as scenery as normal in Fs9 as a high layer (recommend higher layer than mesh if possible). Rename the following files in the Fs2004/Scenery/NamW/Scenery Folder from .Bgl to .Bgl.Bkp:HL903070HL903080HL904070HL904080HL905070HL905080HL906070HL906080HL907070HL908070HL907080HL908080HL909070HL909080HL903090HL904090HL903100HL904100HL905090HL906090HL905100HL906100HL907090HL908090HL907100HL908100HL909090HL909100HP903070HP903080HP904070HP904080HP905070HP905080HP906070HP906080HP907070HP908070HP907080HP908080HP909070HP909080HP903090HP904090HP903100HP904100HP905090HP906090HP905100HP906100HP907090HP908090HP907100HP908100HP909090HP909100For uninstallation it is just remove the two layers of the scenery from Fs9 and then name back all the files in NamW/Scenery from .Bgl.Bkp back to .Bgl.Hope people might enjoy the files. Please feel free to write if you tried it/what you think/ if there might be any improvements etc. Many thanks,Pierre.P.S. There's a known limitation of the scenery in that many areas the lakes have no beaches. Unfortunately this is just how it was produced. Also the lake elevations are only accurate to +-10m but normally I think it looks pretty much ok (at least from what I've seen but please let me know etc.)The Files: 1. However if it's a serious question then no, but it is possible to cross the Bering Straight(?) from one to the other (although there's often a lot of ice I think).P.

I already have Ultimate Terrain Canada/Alaska for coastlines other water features, so I'm not interested in those. I'll probably give the mesh a try, though.Sidney Schwartz KPDX

Hi,The lakes I must admit are definitely a kinda poor man's ultimate terrain (I don't have it but it's pretty amazing the amount of data and accuracy he's managed to fit in one product). The mesh is definitely more detailed here than default though (the only problem is in case airport elevations don't match but I didn't see many too back in the (limited) testing I did). Anyway hope it might work ok and of course feel free to write is you have any further suggestions etc. Many thanks,Pierre
