Pacific Northwest Scenery

Recommended Posts

Hello.I was wondering if someone could answer a quick question for me regarding the Pacific Northwest Scenery by Andy (someone) available from flightsim.comRight now I have mesh scenery installed for the Seattle area. What I'm wondering is if it's also okay to install this Pacific Northwest Scenery as well?I had e-mailed this Andy person but the e-mail address that came with his scenery doesn't work.Any info you can give me would be great. Thanks!

I'm not the Andy you mention but this should answer your question.FS will display the highest LOD (level of detail) mesh it encounters so your existing Seattle mesh will show if it has a higher LOD than the PNW mesh. If the PNW scenery is Landclass then this will not be an issue as it drapes over whatever mesh you have underneath, including default mesh. The only time high LOD mesh may not display is if you have insufficient resources (memory/speed)to display it in which case FS displays the next lower or default mesh available.AndyPS. Re Landclass: If your Seattle scenery is not mesh but Landclass instead, you will have to put it at a higher level via scenery library entry to force it over any other landclass if that's what the PNW is.
