GMax Windsocks

Recommended Posts

Guest -Jon-

Up till now, my Gmax modeling skills have be confined to static models - Buildings, fences, runway markers etc. I want to expand these skills to dynamic scenery, so want to start with a windsock.Ive been trawling the net and various forums, but cant seem to find how to get started. I know how to animate an object (make the sock spin on an axis and stand up in the wind), but how do I get it to turn to follow the wind, or stand up when wind is greater than 0 knots)? Is exporting the model any different to a static object?I also watched a brilliant Flash tutorial on aninmating a jetway gate. How would you go about triggering this to move?Jon
