???To make 0m elevation around your elevation does not make sense! Also for an island in the ocean (maybe, sometimes).Do you want to do this? The Sim will display your Om (depending on the LOD and priority)Try to merge your data with other elevation data (Ex: SRTM (Hgt))And then select a box, for the area you will cover with your mesh.Up to 50 MB bgl the Sim should not have a frame rate problem.Make also from the same data some lower LOD mesh.Horst

Hi Horst, thanks for remembering me the link to MicroDEM. Now it was good opportunity to update it, because there is new version 8 (May 2005) with the size of the help 21 MB. Seems that there is still solved only the general UTM, not the specific TM for some exotic sites. MicroDEM is actually great source of education for me!Best regardsVlada StojePS: Excuse little off-topic, but noticed very interesting article on the John Childs site, paper by Martin Gamache http://www.terrainmap.com/downloads/Gamache_final_web.pdf , comparison of different dem sources with many perfect illustrations!

Not finished yet!Have to help the southern neighbour with his mesh :)A quite fast response, because I had only a look outside the Fs to it.Yes, it is only beta yet!You did not merge your data correct, with the second source(??)!!!Your neighbours will get in trouble :)You slovenija source looks nice, the parts I checked.1 arc second, I would use with LOD10, this is enough.Read also the priority again:http://www.fs-traveler.com/priority.shtmlI bought the Austrian professional addon (payware):http://www.flugwerk.at/They (or he) have a very good LOD 9 mesh.I will show you the coverage of both mesh with LWMVeiwer:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118701.jpgI hope you see an image. You will cover a lot of Austria with currently not correct data. So, if I am allowed to make this suggestion:a) Try to merge the data correct (your surrounding second elevation):( Make also LOD 9 mesh and LOD 8,7,6 from the same source (the correct merged data). Otherwise I (or every other user of Austrian professional) can not use your data. And your source data look pretty nice. I can decide to use only your LOD9, as the highest mesh.Horst
