Texture files

Recommended Posts

I am working with CFS1 and TerrabuilderLite and after some initial frustration am now able to better understand what the program is about. I have been using the tutorials (this from the Mt Shasta tutorial) as my main basis of experimentation and everything works well, including the .BGL and .SCA files, but for reasons that I cannot understand, the production of texture files (64kb each) results in a strange format shown below, as I expect them to be .R8 and so am reluctant to transfer all of them into CFS scenery to "fly" the scene.I select the Prepare Textures|Cut all level images and insert T3 as my prefix to the correct path. I am puzzled with the result. Is there another conversion step required? The documentation accompanying the tutorial does not suggest what the files should look like. I have tried repeating the exercise, tried the other tutorial .bmp maps and still have a similar result. If you have any suggestion about this I will be most grateful.Directory of E:GAMESMSCombatWW2sceneryMyScenerytextureProduced 126 files (approx 8.2Mb)T30000.1T30000.22T30000.24T30000.21T30000.23T30000.322T30000.324T30000.342T30000.344T30000.321T30000.323T30000.341T30000.343T30000.312T30000.314T30000.332T30000.334T30000.311T30000.313T30000.331T30000.333T30001.1T30001.22T30001.24T30001.21......................ThanksMike
