SCASM

Recommended Posts

Hello all,I'm unclear as to when to use the SCASM feature in PhotoWizard. Before the Compile to BGL? If so how do I convert the .sca files so the SDK can read them and should I use scenery sdk or terrain sdk for adding over default terrain? Thanks in advance.Patrick

Patrick,If you use PhotoWizard, and go through tutorial 1 (Photowizard tutorial), it is specified there when to activate SCASM compiler. SCASM is a compiler that compiles SCA file created by TerraBuilder into a BGL file used by FS.Let me know if the PhotoWizard process "chokes" on any of the steps - perhaps I introduced a bug when implementing the newest features.Ultimately, you should NOT use PhotoWizard, but PhotoTerrain. PhotoWizard should be used only if you need a terrain resolution better than 4.8 meters / pixel. If you have problems using PhotoTerrain (make sure you CAREFULLY read the Release Notes) work them out one by one - this is the way to go in the scenery design.
