Blending issues...

Does anyone know if there is a utility that will:Given the location of LOD13 Quad (as in, 003101031303231, or whatver other coordinate/denomination system), will return a FS2002 default texture name for that LOD13.The reason is, I'd love to build a default underlying texture map which I would use to blend edges of the phototerrain texture map so that the transition would be smooth and gradual.

Best thing I've found so far is to use tmfviewer from the sdk. Load worldlc.bmp and then use Orlando's crossreference chart between landclass type and default texture assignment.Bob B

Hi Misho.TMFViewer is it. MS never shared their compression routines with us, so we can't make a utility to read compressed TMFs. WorldLC.bgl is the file to view. Type in a LAT-Long pair in the menu entry. The '+' key zooms in.Dick
