Runtime error after installing Gmax, TB PRO

Recommended Posts

Hello there,I installed Gmax and TB PRO last night. Now every time I start Gmax I get a runtime error from the Terrabuilder module. It says:Maxscript rollout handler exception: Cannot set the property, .movie. (TBMeshModule.mse) (See screenshot below)It then disables all viewports in Gmax.Does this ring a bell to anyone?Tks, Gnoeshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/139031.gif

Hi Gnoes,This error is well known to me and I am still scratching my head trying to fix it. It does NOT, however, disable viewports or impede the functionality in any way. The problem is, the script cannot register ActiveX component needed to run a small flash box on hte top of the GMAX module. It's no big deal, the box only lists a logo and 2 buttons used for tutorial and reference - those links are available here:Advanced tutorial:http://www.terrabuilder.com/GMAX/GMAXMM_AdvTut.htmBasic tutorial:http://www.terrabuilder.com/GMAX/GMAXMM_Tut.htmReference:http://www.terrabuilder.com/GMAX/GMAXMM_Ref.htmThe viewports are not disabled - the TOP viewport is maximized. You'll learn that when you get more familiar with GMAX :)Misho

Thanks Misho,I am glad it's nothing serious. I greatly appreciate the links to the tutes. The last few years I've only been making flat scenery with Groundmaker and objects with Easy Object Designer (great little program, but not entirely compatible with FS9). I really look forward to building elevation into the scenery! My current project is the Tanimbar Archipelago in the South Moluccan Islands and they are quite hilly. I have Old Dutch Seacharts of the islands and BA Marine Pilots of the area. I guess I'll have to find a way to make altitude maps using that data. But I'll first gotta nosedive in Gmax that's for sure!Regards, Gnoes
