I can't see anything that would make it not work, judging from what you pasted into the post.TTools usually gives quite specific error messages - what message do you get?MartinIt's a lot like life and that's what's appealing

Martin, thanks for your reply.I would not get any message, the compiler window would show some activity and just disappear and place a temp file in the ATCScenery folder. Other than adding the actual titles from my installed aircraft to the aircraft.txt file I left all 3 files from the Worldwide AI Project Sixth Edition as they came.I'm thinking that the aircraft.txt file and/or the flightplans.txt file must not referre to an ac# and plane that is not actually installed.I then tried editing the files and removing referrenced aircraft I din't have, removing the plans for them but then I got a windows XP error. Only thing I figured left to do was start over and go with a simple plan. I added just a few aircraft for one of the KORD-United plans and compiled. Also added one of the AFCAD files for kord and it seeems to work but it sure wasn't busy. I guess the plan is a little small on it's own. :-)It would still be helpful to know if infact the aircraft.txt file needs their entries to be in 1,2,3,4....order or is this sort of thing possible ?AC#60,491,"Boeing 747-400 UNITED"AC#32,440,"Airbus A320-200 UNITED"AC#42,430,"Boeing 737-400 UNITED"AC#55,482,"Boeing 777-300 UNITED"AC#56,491,"Boeing 747-400 CANADA"AC#21,430,"Boeing 737-400 AFRANCE"AC#22,430,"Boeing 737-400 BRITISH"AC#20,430,"Boeing 737-400 AMERICAN"AC#15,440,"Airbus A320-200 LUFTHANSA"AC#17,440,"Airbus A320-200 BRITISH"AC#16,440,"Airbus A320-200 NORTHWEST"AC#23,430,"Boeing 737-400 Southwest"AC#18,430,"Boeing 737-400 CONTINENTAL"AC#19,430,"Boeing 737-400 DELTA"AC#20,430,"Boeing 737-400 AMERICAN"Is there any utility yet that I could just point to a specific AI aircraft folder and have it add all it's contained aircraft to a text file in proper format ?ThanksSteveCYYZ

I have heard of a few incidences of the compiler starting to work and thendisappearing. Happened to me today for the first time. I then ran the compiler from a dos window and it worked OK. Then after going back to running windows xp, it continued to work ok. Don't have a clue as to what caused it to disappear like it did.Warren

The order of the entries in the aircraft.txt has no effect whatsoever, and you don't have to have any aircraft installed that matches the titles in the aircraft.txt. The only thing that's important (except that everything is in the correct format) is that if a flightplan uses e.g. "AC#193" you must have an "AC#193" in the aircraft.txt.Here are some lines from my aircraft.txt:AC#25,124,"Piper Cherokee 180 Paint2"AC#26,100,"NONE"AC#37,390,"AI AA 100"AC#38,450,"AI AA 72S"AC#39,460,"American Airlines Boeing 737-400"AC#40,470,"AI AA 757"AC#41,480,"American Airlines 767-200ER AI"As you see the numbers are not in order, and the only aircraft I actually have installed are the Piper and the AA 734 and 762. Everything works fine. (Though I won't see any flights flown by AC#26, 37, 38, or 40.)MartinPS. I use Windows ME.It's a lot like life and that's what's appealing
