Overlaid KMSP with AFCAD

Hello all,I finally succeded overlaying KMSP(Minneapolis/St. Paul International) airport. http://sc.communities.msn.com/img/emoticons/emsmiled.gif Now I have all the runways active. I have KMSP and MSP2 overlaid.KMSP has 12L/30R and 4/22MSP2 has 12R/30L All runways are 11006' long. Two runways are active at once for take off and landings depending on the wind. One cool thing I noticed was, even if I am on the KMSP side, Ground sometimes assigns me 12R/30L runway(MSP2 airport) for takeoff. Same thing when landing on one airport and I am assigned to a gate from another airport. Progressive taxi works like a charm even when taking off from the different airport(KMSP - MSP2). Sometimes, AI planes exit from the grass and come back to the taxiway but it works great.I initially had altogether 53 gates at KMSP, but my frame rate was terribly unacceptable, so I reduced to 30 gates and I'm thinking of reducing more. Here are some pics, if you wouldn't mind looking at them:Planes taking off from 30L and 30R.http://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/30LR.jpgTaxing to taking off from 30R and landing on 30L.http://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/30LRa.jpgTaking off from 4 and 12R.http://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/4_12R.jpghttp://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/4_12Ra.jpgFinal on 4, planes taxing to 4 and 12R for take off.http://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/final.jpgLanding on 12R.http://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/12R.jpgThis is pretty much the traffic I used to have in KMSP. Not anymore, too much hit on frame rate. http://sc.communities.msn.com/img/emoticons/emcry.gifhttp://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/013.jpghttp://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/traffic.jpgThank you very much for taking your time to see my post. Great work, and I did enjoy the pics .... interesting how the programming was done by MS for the AI Traffic. If I could ask, I am having a problem with AI Traffic I have routed to my "new" side at KRIC (Richmond, VA) showing up (this would be all general aviation aircraft).Did you have to add a new tower to the new side .... or do anything NOT in the instructions.

The only thing I had to do "special" was change all of the GA flight plans to the new destination. Make sure that you got the new ICAO code exactly correct (i.e. 2RIC and not RIC2, etc.).Also, make sure that your gates are big enough for the aircraft you plan on landing there (you can make them big to check this possibility).Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Tom is right. I'm also a novice AFCAD user but I would like to ask you one question, say 3;1. Did you add your new airport in your airport.txt for TTOOLS?2. Did you divert some of your KRIC traffic(25% or 50%)to your new airport using Airport ID Swapper?3. Did you recompile your new traffic.bgl file?Let us know.Regards,DanzianOh by the way, I thought I would share these pics too. I've been watching instead of flying. hehe.http://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/2land.jpghttp://home.att.net/~naresh.k.gurung/2land2.jpg
