New to AI traffic

Hi Folks,Just started to get to grips with AI traffic, already learn a lot from reading this group. As a result I have two runways in use at Heathrow and some aircraft going around minor airfields as well. However hopefully someone might be able to assist me with regards to scheduling airliners using the many published files available.I notice that some lists show a single rotation only and as a result the aircraft sits on the ground for most of the day using up a valuable parking slot. Is there a program available which looks the the times and schedules the aircraft to do another flight if able ieAC#200,AUA83,100%,24Hr,IFR,06:54:51,08:57:54,390,F,5348,LOWW,09:45:00,11:48:03,290,F,5345,EFHKAC#200,AUA83,100%,24Hr,IFR,14:04:59,16:08:02,350,F,5346,LOWW,19:14:53,21:17:56,370,F,5347,EFHKIs converted toAC#200,AUA83,100%,24Hr,IFR,06:54:51,08:57:54,390,F,5348,LOWW,09:45:00,11:48:03,290,F,5345,EFHK,14:04:59,16:08:02,350,F,5346,LOWW,19:14:53,21:17:56,370,F,5347,EFHKthereby using one aircraft for two flights. If anyone is brave enough to make up such a beast that allows it to look at the aircraft type & line. Then after say 30-60 mins on the ground add another flight from the list. I for one would use it a lot!Rgds Ron

Hey Ron,The line you had in your post is fine;"AC#200,AUA83,100%,24Hr,IFR,06:54:51,08:57:54,390,F,5348,LOWW,09:45:00,11:48:03,290,F,5345,EFHK,14:04:59,16:08:02,350,F,5346,LOWW,19:14:53,21:17:56,370,F,5347,EFHK"Just add that directly using traffic tools. With version 1.2 of TTools it can now handle up to 100 legs for 1 aircraft. Also you can program flights weekly now. When you adding other legs, i'll use your own as an example only put in "AC#200,AUA83,100%,24Hr,IFR" at the start it doesnt have to be added to that line again. Thanks Steve,You might have misunderstood me, what I was dreaming about was a program that would look at the various freeware AI flight skeds and organized them so that we had no "slack" times where aircraft sat around most of the day but combined flights so that they ran on a single airframe where possible.I have seen lists where 50 flights of 30 mins length used 50 aircraft when it was possible to get 5 aircraft to do 10 flights each, but as I say I'm dreaming!!!Best rgds Ron

It's not a dream :)... I'm working on such a thing. It's funny how many people have the same ideas... It's complete a new tool offering many small 'goodies'. A realistic AI Shuffler is also included. But I don't know yet when it's finished.RegardsThomas

Was looking into it as well, but was unable to find a decent algorithm to use (trying all combinations of all flight done in one week was obviously not an option). So how do you actually do it?Anyway I would probably never have finished it as the file format really irritates me - how can someone release a tool in 2002 and not use XML - my life is too short to spend time parsing text files! :(

I've done a special cache for it. But it's yet not finished.XML? But what do you expect from simmers? Na, just kidding. But I don't know if it would the best/fastest solution for suchhuge amount of data.Cheers Thomas
