Traffic.BGL - Can I back up to replace after reinstall?

Hello All - A question. I am contemlating a full reinstall of FS2k2 ( I know, reinstalling All of my addons again is a pain) because I am having issues. I want to clean out my fs partition, and get it going again.My question is, can I back up my traffic.bgl file and replace it after the install, to preserve my afcad creations? I know I can save my decompiled txt files from my last ttools decompile, but I don't want to lose all of my AFCAD designs ( I have created AI/ATC at many small airfields in NY/NJ)Any suggestions / ideas would be much appreciated.RedRock

One of the reasons I like having several partitions on my harddrive is for management of the drive. It seems you do have partitions and want a clean FS partition. Good for you!!!I recommend you copy the present FS2002 folder, in its entirety, to a different partition on your harddrive, then use the add/remove programs on the original version of FS2002. FS2002 will leave the root fs2002 folder and subfolders in place if you installed addons and such. Delete the original fs2002 folder (after you did the add/remove program and remember you saved a copy of fs2002 elsewhere), do a scandisk and defrag on this partition, then reinstall fs2002.Now your ready to copy those important files from the other partition. Just don't do it wholesale. Copy it in bits and pieces to avoid bringing over problems. Check each import before bringing over more. That way, if something causes a problem, you won't have a large area to search for the problem.Once you get everything in its proper place you might want to do another defrag.
