Getting default AI ground traffic back

Recommended Posts

Guest

Does anyone know how to reset the AI Traffic patterns on the ground at airports to the default issued by Microsoft short of a complete reinstall? I'd like to restart a few airports using AFCAD and would prefer to start form the default without mods. If you know which files I could just replace I'd appreciate the help.

I believe the only file you need to change is traffic.bgl in your fs2002scenedbATCscenery folder. There may be an original backed up in this folder already. If not, retrieve from your CDs using Winzip or another unzipping program. Search the *.cab files for the traffic.bgl file and place in the folder noted above.

Check the FS2k2 CD#1 for all files that will be installed in the SceneryDBAFD folder, such as usaglaf01.bgl, usaglaf02.bgl etc. The AFD "world" is broken down into smaller, regionalized areas, so you truly only need to restore the one(s) that have been modified by AFCAD to regain the default AI tracks.

Those bgl files (that bill is referring to) are found in FS2002.cab and can be uncompressed with any compression utility, such as winzip.-j

Ifyouopen an airport using afcad it will tell you which .bgl file your airport/facility is located in eg EGGP (Liverpool) is located in something like eurnwald.bgl (can't be really precise I am at work.) but, if as john says extract the relevant file from FS2002.cab you copy and paste the file into Scenedb/world/scenery. I hope this is correct folder I am working from memory.Terry
