AI destination

Recommended Posts

Hi,I have noticed that when asking ATC to take off, some aircrafts do indicate their destinations and some other don't.Why?I think it would be better if every AI were telling their destination , so that we know where those AI go. The question is why some tell their destination to the ATC just before take-off and why other don't. Greetings Minos

It's the way FS is made. There are 3 different ways an aircraft can request a take off clearance:", at ready for takeoff, IFR to ."", ready to go, , IFR to ."", ready for IFR departure, ."FS chooses randomly between these 3. As you can see, 2 of these phrases indicate the destination. One doesn't. The only way you can change that is by using the GVP Voicefile Decompiles (available on avsim) to extract the phrase file, and then edit it and recompile it using Microsoft's voicepack SDK. But is it really worth the hassle ?__________________________________________________________EricUPDATED: List of all airlines, aircraft manufacturers and aircraft types recognised by ATC:http://www.geocities.com/eric_2203/orhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/esearch.php?D...atID=fs2002misc

But is it really worth the hassle ? Just for one thing, no. But once I get a few more changes entered, I'll start the compiler and let it run all night... :)I'm slowly finding all the little 'errors' MS made in the phrases.txt and fixing them, as well as adding new airline callsigns I've created with a bit of judicious wav file editing.
