In reference to the topic 'AI' acft not following tower instructions ...As I was doing an approach into Orly (with the weather loaded before flight commencement from Gatwick), I was vectored for approach rwy 25 ILS at Orly. When I contacted the tower I was advised to make right traffic for the opposite end runway. This is what I've been hearing with AI acft from time to time, but til now I hadn't ever received the instruction to an aircraft I was flying - crazy!Anyone else had this, without any weather changes?

No, the IFR flight plan was still current and did not get cancelled til after I landed straight in without a landing clearance (because I didn't have the time to do a full circuit and change runways).

The only time I have had it happen is if the wind changes. That was sort of cool because I was landing on 27 and Boeing 707 was landing on 9 right in front of me. I got off the runway just as it touched down right behind me.....Hey its a Microsoft world...they do what they want to! =)http://members.cox.net/joshieca/fstimeslink.gif
