FlightPlan.txt??

Recommended Posts

Guest

My first posts and i'm they're for asking for help!! I have been using AI Traffic program but found that it didn't do what i asked it to do all the time. So i have been editing the FlightPlan.txt.AC#37,N00005,75%,6Hr,VFR,12:00:00,13:15:00,100,F,1010,EGHD,13:45:20,15:00:20,100,F,1011,EGLCThis is from London City (EGLC) to my home town Plymouth (EGHD) and return. I worked out that 12:00:00 the aircraft is at take-off at London City and at 13:45:20 is it landing at Plymouth. I can't find the aircraft at either of the other times. Can anyone help??

Do both airports have appropriate free gates/parking?Also, try setting the repeat period to 24h and your plane should start taxi at 12:00:00 UTC.ckfly

On the two times i can find the plane there are spaces, i deleted all the default AI flights for Plymouth (only 6 of them) and i changed a parking space at plymouth to a medium gate using AFCAD.does anyone know what time corresponds to which part of the flight (eg. take-off at first airport, landing at destination etc....)

The 4 times are:1. Takeoff at EGLC2. Landing at EGHD3. Takeoff at EGHD4. Landing at EGLCHave you tried compiling the BGL file and then decompiling it? If not this may be changing your landing times, and thus throwing the flight plan out of order.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Yes, they come in that order.Did you edit the aircraft.txt file and the plane's aircraft.cfg file so the cruise speeds match?-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

If it works now, this info may be of no use, but....In your previous post, you seem to indicate that this is what is actually happening:1. Take-off eglc2. ???3. Landing at EGHD4. ???If that is the case, it seems to me that maybe you have not allowed enough time for initial-taxi-time + leg-1-flight-time + taxi + layover before beginning the leg 2 departure for the flight. In other words, at the end of the first leg, it is landing too late in order to leave at the scheduled time for the leg 2 departure. If a flight plan schedule cannot be met within a reasonable time, the aircraft will just disappear. So keep in mind that you need to allow extra time for taxi and layover between flights. I generally add at least 45 minutes over and above estimated in-the-air flight time.Happy Flying!Bill MolonyAtlanta GA USAUnder the 27L Approach to KATL--the busiest airport in the world :)
