TTools idea for Lee, what do others think?

Recommended Posts

Lee,Would it be possible the change the aircraft number to be able to accept text. One problem I have when trying to keep pace with the various aircraft available is updating the aircraft.txt file and still keeping some logical order. For the reg part of TTools I in fact use a form of airline, type so for a British Airways B737 I would start the file as AC#222,BAW737 etc.If I could change this so it became the aircraft type then it would have some benefits. i.e. my file might start as BAW737,GDOCO etc. Also if people using a similar idea swapped files they would not need to make lots of changes to the flightplans.txt file.Just a thought for you all.Rgds Ron:-beerchug

I use AI Traffic, AITM, or yRoute, which already do this for me. I don't have to worry about aircraft numbers, since the programs handle that for me automatically.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://members.aol.com/tgfltsim/index.htmlAlcoHauler Locomotive Page: http://members.aol.com/alcohauler/home/alcohaul.htmlFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Hi Tom,Not used yroute so will try that. With AITM, which is a great program I have problems trying to get the program to take all of the routes I have. It wants to skip a fair number of flights and I'm not sure why (yet). Thanks for your reply.Rgds Ron

Hi, I hope that Lee will write a step by step "how to" with his programs Afcad and TTools. S.

yRoute works like a charm for me. It's the best program I've found yet. It won't reorder your aircraft when adding the new ones. And how many questions do we field here because people don't RTFM?It's got to be in the millions by now...LOLKev

Yes, I know they come with manuals but there are some that may need a little more direction. The question was asked on what ideas people have and so I have responded with my opinion. Thank you, S.
