Compiler quits in the middle of running....using WinXP

Recommended Posts

Guest

I just installed XP and this never happened when I was using TTools in Win98SE. After double clicking on the compiler, it just quits in the middle of doing it's thing and disappears. I never get a 'press ENTER to contiue setup'. I can tell it isn't working when I restart FS2K2....any help would truly be appreciated.

Once in a while mine does that too.Run Tcompiler from a DOS command line. For some strange reason, after I run it from DOS a few times, it goes back to working in Windows normally.Warren

Thank You for the replies....however, what do you mean you change the compatibility setting under properties? I've tried looking for that and I have no idea where to go. Thanks again...I'm still trying it in dos mode as well.

Well, I just figured out the DOS way of doin' it and it worked. I had to familiarize myself with XP to get to it. I ran Tcompiler and it went through the whole process. Thanks for the help!!! BTW, what kind of bus do you drive?

Usually works for me.

I've never done it, but I assume to change these properties you would right click on the TTools exe file in Explorer, select Properties, and find the Compatibility entries.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
