bruno.........for the inhabitants of this island with any sense of history, this aircraft will always be very very special........it is pleasing to know that examples are being preserved and appreciated elsewhere in the world........apart from its military role, it has to be one of the most beautiful looking(and sounding) pieces of engineering ever.....thanks for sharing your pictures........alan d kerr..........morayshire/scotland

And not only for the 'islanders' I might add ;-) There are millions of us on the other side of the 'Channel' that owe a great debt to the inventor, the manufacturer, the pilots and their leaders of this truly magnificent flying machine !!Thanks Bruno, great pictures !! So will the aircraft be kept as a static display or will it fly again? What museum is it displayed in?Kind regards,Francois :-outta Francois :-wave

"At home in the wild"[link:avsim.com/alaska/alaska_051.htm|Don's Alaskan Bush Charters]"Beavers Lead the Way"[link:www.avsim.com/vfr_center/mainpages/vfr_flights_main_page.htm]VFR Flight Center]"Looking Good Outside"

http://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gifhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3cdd6a6a60efc7f5.gif

________________________Francois A. The Hurricane, the Spitfire and the Lancaster....1940 and our backs are to the wall. May 10th and finally Winston becomes Prime Minister. So late, and so much to do. If the church bells ring the invasion is underway.Lights out at night.Stanford Tuck and Ginger Lacey and Douglas Bader...all ready to fly into battle.Biggin Hill and Kenley, Tangmere and Manston. The Observer Corps and the Home Guard. Dad's Army. The White Hart Pub.And still remembered to this day, in Brazil, and at E3, and soon on our computers.Well.... Never in the field....
