Problem With Afcad Overlay

I posted this question on the general forum but didn't get a response. Here is my problem:I want to create an overlay airport using Afcad. However, I'm having a slight problem. I created an overlay using the example within the Afcad help files to create an overlay for KLAX. I followed the instructions to the letter, and tested the new overlaid airport in FS2002. Everything appeared to be fine. Then, I went to add the new airport in Traffic Tools so as to create flights using the new overlay. When I go to compile, I notice the new airport is recognized, but then when the flight plans start to compile, the compiler stops at a certain point and crashes. I found the flight plan number where the compiler crashes and can not think of any reason why it would do so. Also, if I remove the new airport from the airports.txt file the compiler works fine. Has anyone had a similar experience, and does anyone have an explanation for this? Thanks.

Traffic Tools give excellent diagnostics. What was the error line that it gave you? Not only does it tell you what line it was unhappy with, it tells you where on the line it was unhappy. What does the entry for your new overlay look like in airports.txt?Just as an aside, the TCompiler probably didn't "crash." When it encounters a line it doesn't like, it reports the error and terminates gracefully. To us pro-geeks, "crash" and "terminate" have very different meanings. I've had TCompiler terminate many times, always because of my stone fingers or Bud-brain, but it has NEVER "crashed."

Actually, the compiler does crash. Either the whole program justs exits from the screen, or else I will get that famous Microsoft error report. And as I stated earlier, if I removed the overlaid airport from my airports.txt file, the compiler works fine. I believe the program ended at line 5435, or something like that. Anyway, I deleted that line, but when I run the compiler again, it quits at the very same line! I'm not one to give up easily, so I'm going to keep trying. If anyone else has more suggestions I'd sure appreciate it!

What name did you give your overlay?
