How to delete AFCAD added airport?

Recommended Posts

Guest

I just installed World Airport (SimFlyers) gotta say I love them! However the problem is I have already existing files for KDFW for example. Simflyers installes it's new afcad file with gates etc. which is good, the aircraft uses correct rwy etc. but now I end up with these:KDFW - by simflyersKDFW - one I already haveDFW1 through DFW6 - the overlayshaving TWO KDFW is where I see might be a problem? any way to fix it? would simply opening the "unwanted KDFW" file and deleting all it's content (rwy's, taxi all nodes etc) would it do the trick? Thanks for help.Andy

If I'm not mistaken, I believe that the Simflyers' AFD file is in a separate file somewhere, so that is easy to add/remove. As for the one you already have, I believe that Misha has mentioned that he removed all info from an AFCAD file and that worked OK - backup first, though!!Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

Andy to remove our BGL from World Airports go to the following folder in FS2002 Fs2002SCENEDBAFDFILESSCENERY remove the bgl file zzsfkdfw.bgl this is the bgl file for AI at our DFW. I suggest removing all of the zzsfxxxx.bgl files for our airports. Then install the latest AFCAD files from our web site (updated earlier this past week). This will allow you to install any AFCAD file. The reason behind offering the bgl file was for those people who do not have internet access so they can have updates AI files.JohnSimFlyers.net
