How best to enter this flight schedule?

Can someone help me by pointing out which is the best method for entering a flight schedule in Flightplans.txt for an airline that opeartes a flight between a pair of cities, whereby a daily flight repeats every day of the week except Saturday?By making just one entry and entering 24Hr as the repeat period I will not avoid the Saturday flight.By making a single entry for each weekday except Saturday, entering WEEK followed by the day number, I can achieve my objective, but all these flights will stay parked for a whole week after completing their return leg.I am sure there must be a better way?Stamatis

Surely the aircraft would be in use servicing other cities when it is not servicing the once daily city pair you are interested in. Put in a Week schedule which accurately tracks the movement of that aircraft on it's other routes. Otherwise, if your city pair is the only one that the airline flies, then in real life, that aircraft would sit at the airport the rest of the time also. One last suggestion is, if you are not interested in entering an accurate plan which reflects the movement of the aircraft at times other than when it services your city, just fly it off to some airport you know you won't visit to sit out the down time there using a Week schedule.

Make a single WEEK schedule, with the flights Sunday through Friday shuttling between the two city pairs. This is a number from 0 to 6(0 = Sunday, 1 = Monday, 2 = Tuesday, 3 = Wednesday, 4 = Thursday, 5 = Friday, 6 = Saturday). It appears in front of the time in the form d/hh:mm:ss, for example 3/23:00:00 for a departure at 11 PM (GMT) on a Wednesday. If you have not specified a WEEK period but you include a day value then it will be ignored. "I must say I have yet to see a F50 appear at EHAM though, but this is at least how it *should* work :-)Vince

Like I said - I had some trouble getting it to work, but I just found out it wasn't the schedule's fault - but my F50 installation. So I'll let it run and see those nice F50 leave in a couple of minutes I guess.... I think you'll be okay.What schedules are you working on?Vince

"What schedules are you working on?"I have recently downloaded Brussels Charleroi airport, and I wanted to enter the Ryanair flights to/from that airport so that there is some life there when I depart/arrive :-)WorldAI2 which I use as a starting base, includes the Ryanair schedules, but they must be fairly outdated because there are no flight to/from EBCI.Stamatis

Somewhere in the WorldAI docs it is mentioned that besides a couple of US airlines all the other data is from 1998 so I'm not surprised.I find the WorldAI data also a bit odd in other ways - the AI traffic percentage (when a flightplan should occur) is not used correctly (used as a line numbering from 1-100%!) and also registration numbers are all the same for an aircraft type. A minor detail when you use flightnumbers for ATC, but nevertheless I tend to use WorldAI only when no other source exists.Cheers!Vince

For example BA319 denotes a British Airways Airbus A319.I actually prefer it that way, cause when I see another aircraft from my Cockpit View, the label tells me what airline and which type it is. I too have the traffic percentage at 100%, but why misuse a well documented feature for something silly as line numbering? I can understand if some people need less than a 100% setting.And - the first and foremost reason to use WorldAI only as a last resort: The 1998 data which is a long, long time ago in aviation.Anyway - glad to hear you're updating your portion of the Ryanair schedules! :-)Vince
