Traffic.BGL - Can I back up to replace after reinstall?

Recommended Posts

Hello All - A question. I am contemlating a full reinstall of FS2k2 ( I know, reinstalling All of my addons again is a pain) because I am having issues. I want to clean out my fs partition, and get it going again. My question is, can I back up my traffic.bgl file and replace it after the install, to preserve my afcad creations? I know I can save my decompiled txt files from my last ttools decompile, but I don't want to lose all of my AFCAD designs ( I have created AI/ATC at many small airfields in NY/NJ)Any suggestions / ideas would be much appreciated.RedRock

As you know the ai shuffler does make you a bakup so I see no reason why you can not just copy your bgl then paste it back when you reinstall as long as you has all the aircrafts refered to in it installed also when you restart :)Anniette xxxxxxxxx

Have you tried re-installing Fs2002 on top of itself? Sometimes this will fix many issues, and you will still have your addons installed. Just make sure to backup the traffic.bgl and scenery.cfg to save some time after the re-install. Worth a try before a full wipe.
