Get AI aircraft to vacate the runway faster? Anyplace that has any real level of traffic (BOS, ATL, LGA...) where the planes are using the same runway- I have ORD set up to take traffic of on differing runways for each overlay so that I do not get a massive buildup of departures. Based on my last visit there, where we were #1 for takeoff on 9L after a very short taxi from the UAL terminal. Is it a matter of adding noes on teh runway to get this to happen?TIA,Tim

Adding nodes (without adding new taxiways off the runway) will slow down the planes, not speed them up.The best way to get them off the runway faster is to speed up the taxi speed, which you can do with AI Speed from Andy Robinson, available here. A straight line speed of 25-30 kts and turns of 10-15 kts should be good.Hope this helps,-- Tom GibsonCalifornia Classic Propliners: http://www.calclassic.com/Cal Classic Alco Page: http://www.calclassic.com/alco/Freeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.com/ San Diego Model RR Museum: http://www.sdmodelrailroadm.com/Drop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___

THere are some tricks you can use. For example you can add a parallel taxiway to the runway for areas where aircraft often must taxi a very long distance before they can exit. You can also add multiple exit nodes so that aircraft will exit a little quicker. The drawback is that sometimes an aircraft will land a little too early, but that is better than having a huge back log of aircraft going around.Check out the RAFCAD I did of KORD (you can find it at http://forums.projectai.com/htdocs/dcforum...rumID46/6.html)It uses several of these tricks and can easily handle all the traffic at KORD using realistic flightplans.Matt Fox
