New Flight Plan Numbering Program

Recommended Posts

Afternoon All,I have for some time been searching for a way to correct regional carrier call signs from the way we currently do them, i.e:ASADelta Connection calls and answers as "Candler 4530" because that's the way we enter the flight number in the TT flight plan and that is the flight number within the Delta system. But, in real life they would radio call as "Candler 530."I know, small item but in my quest for perfection I have wanted for some time to correct this. I tried to make the change myself, but it just got tedious. So, I enlisted the help of my son, a rising junior in Computer Programming at the Univ. of Central Flofida, to write a small program for me to make the changes. He has done this.It is a very small, easy to use program. You simply drag and drop the flight plan file onto a window and it changes the 4 or 5 or 6 or whatever in the first number position to a 0. It then outputs the file with the same name with a 1 at the end. You remove the 1, copy back to the TT folder and re-compile.I would be glad to send this to anyone who wants it, or if there is enough interest, I will upload it to Avsim. Thanks and Happy Simming! :-)Best,

Gerald
