Two AI aircraft sharing one spot

Recommended Posts

Okay, I've got another chapter in my weird tale of trying to add some AI traffic to my airport. This time the problem is that I've got two AI aircraft that want to inhabit the same parking spot. One will already be there, and another will just taxi up and take the exact same space, appearing to merge with the already parked aircraft. I've checked my AFCAD and there is definitely only one space. I thought maybe if two parking spaces each shared a taxiway node they might get confused, so I've added separate and distinct nodes to turn off the taxiway onto each parking spot, but I still get the bunching! Has anyone had this happen and found a resolution?thanks,

The aircraft need to pass through an hold-short node before they reach a parking spot otherwise ATC doesn't know where they are.George

Is it possible the Aircraft already there is a "Static" model and not from AI Traffic?

I'll look at the hold-short issue, but I believe there's a hold-short node at each end of the runway, and that's the only way to get back to parking. Also no, there are no static aircraft in this scenery; only active.thanks,

BillEven if there is a hold short node make sure the circumference distance circle overlaps the runway link line. AFCAD will turn the circle on for you under one of the pull down menu items which you probably already know about.Hope this also helps

Ahhh, I think you guys just solved my problems at KATL last night, as I posted over in the Flightsim forum, where no matter what kind of parking I requested to park at, it sent me to a spot already occupied....
