AI and runways...

Recommended Posts

I read in the Ttools readme that ai aircraft will only use the runways that atc tells them to. For instance at LAX the wind was 240@10, and like most of the time at LAX the 25's and 26's were the optimal runways yet all my AI traffic was coming in over the ocean and landing and taking off on the 7's and 6's. Anyway to make these guys use the right runways? Thanks.

Just make sure that the runways have the black runway assignment links on them. If they dont, the AI will not use the runways. However, LAX's runways are all parallel, so they 'should' be using the proper wind direction of approach. Odd....The black line 'links' on the runways are in the Links toolbar and placed on the runway the entire length.Bill

If you changed the wind and then expect to see them use the opposite runways, try reloading ATC:1. Choose World/Map2. Change your heading by one degree3. Click OK.Now check the runway usage.--Tom GibsonCal Classic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.comFreeflight Design Shop: http://www.freeflightdesign.comDrop by! ___x_x_(")_x_x___
