B737-500 Paintkit Part 1

Recommended Posts

I've put together a paintkit that includes instructions and files necessary for producing a repaint of Giorgio's 737, version 2. I'm sure I've glossed over important steps that I will need to explain in more detail, so be kind when you post your question's to my obvious lapses.Of note on the kit: you will find a small section on the supplied tif file colored(coloured) yellow. This was done on purpose to alert you as to it's location on the tif and where on the engines this location has been rendered. Look on the included tif and you'll see it on the bottom of the starboard engine. Without this marking, you'd have a tough time locating the source of this texture. As for the fuselage, if you keep your artwork inside the red colored areas, which on the layerd tif is named layer1, you'll be fine. Remember, the fuse and rudder lines as they come on the tif are at 25% opacity. You can darken or lighten them to suit your repaint. In fact, you're free to adjust the tif to your heart's content. It's your repaint and you can do whatever you want to reach your desired goal. Experiment, copy and backup. Use the layered tif, it'll save you a bunch of time.Part 2 will be a detail follow along as I repaint a Delta 737. I haven't decided if it will be a multi-posted tutorial, posted in sections as I complete portions of the repaint, or a complete tutorial, posted after everything has been done. Questions, you know where to find me,Pete
