Recommended Posts

Guest Mike94

Hi,i'm thinking about installing DX-9. Are there any problems using DX9 with FlyII ?? If this would be the case, i would prefer to stay with DX8.1Any pro and cons?I'm using Win XP and a Radeon 9700-pro graphics card. Thanks a lot in advance,Michael

Michael,I and others have been using XP with DX9 for a while now - no problems. However, most of us are using GeForce cards and were forced to upgrade to DX9 in order to use new nVidia drivers. I don't know how your Radeon will respond.Because you're using XP, you do have an out. When you install DX9, XP will create a Restore Point. If you run into problems, just restore your system to the previous point and you'll be back at DX8. You might even want to create a Restore Point now before installing DX9 - that way you'll your absolute latest version to go back to.
