New P51 repaint, Detroit Miss, at Simvol now

Hi folks,Yesterday we uploaded the Detroit Miss to the Simvol page.I am saying WE because this is a Dutch-Norwegian co-production.Gunnar van der Meeren (Norway) and I ( Leen from Holland) made this livery by E-mail contact.( and one phone-call)This repaint of the original P51 from ROTW is a littlebit special.We used on this repaint an technique invented by Frederic Mouflin (ROTW).Using several different TIF`s and a special prepared ACM set, it is possibleto give various parts of the plane diffrent colors an textures.The repaint shows very well at all distances ,even when it is usedby FLY as a PC controlled aircraft (without framerateproblems)We call it Multi-TIF-Hocus-Pocus (MTHP).Examples: ( see the arrows on the screenshot )Different colors for spinner and fuel caps.Canopy-framing bi-coloured.Stabilo and elevator with diffrend textures.On our next projet ( wich livery not decided yet) we will use MTHP also.We are working on out and inside views showing striping on the wings AND on the moving flaps TOO.This is very complicated to do but we see a light at the end of the tunnel! !We`ll keep you informed.Leen de Jager
