For Deb users-please read-another short file needed

Recommended Posts

I am really sorry for getting confused here. I have had hundreds of emails each day since uploading this, and in between tried to correct the problem some end users had and so am quite easily confused. In any case I neglected to upload the default (non Rality Xp) panel configuration file in yesterdays "patch 1".I just uploaded a file called "patch 1.5"It is extremely small and just contains a panel.cfg for the default, and one for the Reality xp users. Drop the proper file into your b33/panel folder and all should be well.To clarify-1) do get the patch 1 file and drop the Deb.cab file into your gauge directory.2) Get the patch 1.5 file and drop the appropriate panel.cfg file into your panel folder.Sorry again for the confusion!:-(http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/geofanim2.gif

Geof, in the interests of hopefully preventing your mail box from blowing up, I have anchored this topic for a few days until we have the bulk of the users aware of this. My edit did the anchoring.

Geof, I hate to ask such a base question at I know this is a busy time for you. But, is the Patch 1.5 in the "New Files" where Patch 1 is? I didn't see it. Or perhaps the upload has not loaded yet.Regards, and thanks,Nick

Geof, no thanks, I am not brave enough to diddle in the enormity of that .cfg that you posted. I'll wait for "What's New" to produce Patch 1.5.After all, I am still recovering from "mip-mapping". Sure feels good to fly a plane I can go outside to see every now and then.Cheers:-beerchugNick

Download the main file here:http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DownloadID=15710Install it (the easy part). If you don't own the reality xp flightline product leave "reality xp" unchecked (default) on the installer.Download patch 1 here:http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DownloadID=15710unzip patch 1 but only place the deb.cab file in your gauge folder-ignore the included instructions. Then download patch 1.5 here-http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DownloadID=15791drop the panel.cfg file in your b33/panel folder-if you own the reality xp package rename the panelxp.cfg to panel.cfg and drop it in the B33/panel folder.http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/geofanim2.gif

I downloaded the files dated 5/25 and installed the plane and the patch.I didn't have HSI or master switches so I deleted the guages, uninstalled the plane then reinstalled without the patch and everything seems to be there. So I assume you don't need the patch with the file dated 5/25?Also is there a way to lock the full panel view so you don't have to drag it open each time you switch views? Thanks,Ron I don't have reality package.

Well the patch was for the people that were not getting an hsi-I don't know why you experienced the reverse but if it is all there keep it the way it is! :-eekI am not sure about your second question-I don't quite understand what you are asking. Is "global on" in your menu(can't remember which one it is) selected?http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/geofanim2.gif

Thanks for the reply,it really is a great plane.I am referring to the panel displaying only the top row of gauges till I drag the window up and then get the full panel.Whenever I change views and go back to forward view it reverts back to just the top row of gauges and I have to drag it up again. Not sure what you mean by global I am not at my fs computer but I am running it the same as I do with all other planes. Is there a way not to have it revert back to just the top row? Thanks for all the great effort.A job well done! Ron

I haven't had anyone else report this and it doesn't happen here so I can only think it must be some way you have fs setup, unless I am missing something. Perhaps someone else has an answer.I don't know if this could be it-but I think if you save a startup situation with the panel in a certain postition-it remembers it that way?? Perhaps you might want to look here.Hope that helps.http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/geofanim2.gif

I'll go back and read the manual again.I think it mentioned that this is the best view to fly the plane. Most realistic because it has the main gauges displyed. Is there a shift+ command that would bring this window up? Maybe I am the wrong window, but this seems to be the default view for this plane for me.Thanks again for the response.Ron
