Trimming ailerons

Recommended Posts

Guest

Apart from having troubles with the ailerons of FlyHawk, trimming it seems to be no option at all. According to the menu Options - Keys and Buttons, I should be able to trim the ailerons with Num 1 and Num 7 (these are the default settings, and I did not change anything). No matter how hard I push these buttons, no trimming is achieved.Who can help?

This may sound silly, but do you have "num lock" enabled on your keyboard. I did this once and found I had knocked it off.Regards, Steve.http://mysite.freeserve.com/fly2theuk/aragon.JPGUnited Kingdom Sceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther fileshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

Sure Steve, I used both Num Lock on and off. Did not change a bit.On the other hand, it is not such a problem, because I have trimweels on my yoke for ailerons and rudder. The only thing is that when I use these, in the Axis Window not the trim indicator moves but the aileron/rudder indicator itself. But I still wonder why my Num7 and Num 1 do not work.

JoostPress the x key which will bring up a small window showing current control input and also trim setting. You should be able to see the results of pressing the trim keys there.Check that your yoke is calibrated correctly and functioning OK from within the Windows control panel app. Unless it's working correctly at this stage then you won't have much success with it within Fly!. Considering it's age, check especially for spiking outputs. If these are occurring while you're running the calibration then you will get completely invalid results.Andrew Luck18 miles SW EGSH

Hello Andrew,Last night in bed I was thinking, maybe Fly!2 is not a Dos-program so let's check out the calibration of my yoke via Windows. So I did and all my problems are solved. Thanks anyhow.
