Hi,When it comes to exterior model design, you have to take in mind that there are some limitations when building the model. I pefer 3DS above Truespace (no offence Bart ;-) Caligari makes good stuff)because it's been used by TRI making all there planes and therefor you won't get strange things, like Bart mengend about the animation problem within Truespace! I have used Truespace in the beginning but there wasn't enough documentation, tutorials or books you can buy in the bookstore or on the internet! therefor I just jumped over to 3dsI have to admit that it's a long way to learn this powerfull program but at the end it's well worth it! next to that 3ds is one of the most used 3D program in the world, so there are many tutorials and even tranning video's on the internet. It took me about 2 years to get along with 3ds, but I enjoyed the learning proces very much. I had a lott of support by both Jean Sabatier and Giorgio Gnesda which are very tallented with max. I still don't know everything on building models for fly but at least I can make the things I wanted.I think if you wanted to learn making models for fly, the best way is to choose a 3D program like Truespace or 3D max and get some good documentation from the internet, and just like Bart says get a lott of six packs! Take care people

Would have gone the 3DS route but Truspace 3.0 was only $100.00 when I bought 2-3 years ago and I was use to using the 1.0 version so Truspace won!! :-lolSaw in the designer forum the other day that Truspace 3.0 full version is now a free download. For anyone designing scenery Truspace 3.0 would work great, wouldn't have to deal with the animation quirks. Then again if you enjoy having an excuse to down a 12 pack Truspace 3.0 for the aircraft is the only way to go!!c ya :-waveBart flyhelp@zoomtown.comhttp://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/bart_logo3.jpg

Hi Bart,1. Sorry for not replying earlier, I was in the hospital for an operation.2. This looks great. I don't think I'll be able to do it in my whole life. Will be following your tutorial and will see. Unfortunately, at this time, I'm not allowed alcohol neither the chips. Sorry, mate.Cheers,Rene S.
