Dx8 issues with 9500pro

Recommended Posts

Guest

I have problems with dx8 renderers (whether using T&L or not), the screen is unintelligible. I tried both with original renderers and with patched ones (video update 1 and 2). So I have to use dx7 renderer. I own a Sapphire Radeon 9500pro. Do u know where I can find patched renderers, or if there are any graphics settings on my video card that work?

The Video Updates are for nVidia cards only, so you'll definitely need the original drivers to work at all - hope you backed them up. :-)What is the following line set to in your Render.ini?vertexIndexFormat=It should be set to "0", but if it already is and your card still isn't functioning properly, try "1" (after putting the original drivers back in place).

Hi. I have 9500 Pro by ATI, with a moded. BIOS and O.C. to 330/300, with CATALYST Ver. 03.4 drivers DX 8.1a. See my "render.ini" below, that works fine for me. Post here if you need more info. I have similar specs, with these differences, AMD Barton 2500+ (1833Mhz), 1GB DDR Pc2700, WinXP pro SP1, DX 9.0., AA2X-AF4X. With maxed graphic settings (Hi res radius = 6, Med res radius = 20), I can only get unsteady 12-13 fps around San Francisco area, clouds or not, I can't figure out why. I tried a lot of render.ini configurations. I run in 1024*768*32. I have to set Hi res radius to 1 or 0 to get it smooth. Are u sure u get steady 20s fps around KSFO with THAT settings?

I fly in cockpit only, mostly 172, with my own generated TS Scenery. Iam not sure about DX 9, maybe someone can tell us if they had any problems.TV
