New NASA Astronaut

Recommended Posts

Guest Steve Brown

Well guys,Things are hotting up for me now. My first Newspaper interviews have gone well and Im now stuck at the computer designing the new website for the Wrexham Air Space Project. I have signed up for Astronaut training :-) http://www.kennedyspacecenter.com/visitKSC/atx.asp Dont get the wrong idea tho' Im not going up... sadly! but they have started a new program at NASA called ATX (Astronaut Training Experience). I will have a go of the full size Shuttle simulator and try out the other things the Astronauts train on, IE feeling what its like at 6G and so on. Im very happy that there maybe a launch of a rocket.Anyway, sorry Im not able to do any work for the sim right now, but I will be doing more scenery when I can and the odd repaints. About 8 repaints are ready but I cannot release these as yet ;-) I do have an Airport nearly ready and hope to upload this soon.I wish you guys all the best and if Im missing for a while, "I'll be back!"Steve Brown United Kingdomhttp://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg][/div

Jeff :-) How many miles are you from Kissimee?Im sure its too far but Im being given a car. Im staying at Kissimee and some time is free. Sadly I live on a little Island compared to the USA so its hard for me to view the true scale of distance to your location.Anyway all the best Jeff.Stevehttp://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg][/div

Hi Rob!No Im not going on the vomit comet, tho' I would love too. When I was in my teens I was lucky enough to do a lot of aerobatics in a small chipmonk plane and piloting it as well. Now my funds are very meager. When my project comes to an end in June 2004 Im looking for a new sponsor/s,... my plan is...1. To ride the vomit comet...2. To take a trip to the edge of space in a Mig Foxbat3. Including one or both of the above and visiting the Russian Space agency.Im already a member of "Starchaser" the British Race to Space for the Xprize - www.starchaser.co.uk They are planning to do a sub orbital flight next year, this would be very nice :-) All this seems to be a dream, but not so long ago I never thought I would go through Astronaut training at NASA :-eek All the best to you all, Steve.http://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg][/div
