I made some very basic roads, in 4 different sizes.4 X Main Roadshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74167.jpg4 X Mud Roadshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74166.jpg Im testing them as in some areas its hard to align them. They are all straight until I can make a curve :-) Oh, As well as Roads Im making stone walls too.Stevehttp://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg My Websitehttp://www.wrexhamspace.orghttp://www.cafeshops.com/wrexhamspace

Stunning work, Steve! Thanks ever so much for the efforts you've put into this! This could very well come in handy for enhancing / TerraModels / FSImport stuff! Many cheers!Ken Wood :-sun1http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/bannernewkw.jpgGateway 700X; Intel P4 2.4GHz; 512MB RAM; NVIDIA Ti4200 4X AGP 128MB; SB Audigy; Thrustmaster TopGun Fox 2 Pro Shock

Yes, thats the very Idea I had too Ken.When doing the Wales scenery, Paul Brooks scenery clearly shows the roads. This idea came to mind but I wasnt sure how to do it.Then I came up with a simple idea for making some basic models! But its very limited unless you know how to use 3ds max, or another modelling program.Stevehttp://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg My Websitehttp://www.wrexhamspace.orghttp://www.cafeshops.com/wrexhamspace

Steve,go, go, go ...What a wonderful idea. I think, with our modern graphic-cards and faster PCs we can put more stuff like this in our sceneries without suffering too from low framerates.Start with your English streets and maybe there will be a method for us to make it more local (painting) without using GMax but a more common program like Paintshop/Photoshop? And take 1 or 2 beer, maybe it is easier to get them curved then? Just some thoughts.Your screenshot shows what can be done - a paradise for those flying low-level like you and me with our beloved helos. All the best for youGeorg (EDDW)

OK this is the kind of format in sizes your looking at. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74468.jpg Remember, they are placed with the Fly2 editor. In some areas models move when fly2 is restarted which is a nightmare for long objects like we have here. The roads are large enough to place your static cars and trucks on. Im sure Wayne could easily place a moving truck on these, so you can see moving vehicles on Roads while landing and taking off. You can even land the Bell 407 on one? At the moment I need Beta testers to give me feedback and let me know if its worth expanding this project for different types of Roads. As with the Mud roads in my new LIMW Aosta Airport. Railroads are planned also, as well as tire tracks in snow. You get the idea! 3 or so Beta testers would be nice :-) Steve
