a great news: ROTW wait for your visit...

Recommended Posts

G'day Rene,What a great idea; A holiday house in France. What's the price of real estate like. :-) Unfortunately @ 150 MB I will have to hold off downloading as it would take many hours on my 56K modem. :-(However , like Steve, the part that really caught my attention was the networked POTW program. Is that strictly a LAN or can it be set up as a server/client over the Internet? A program that can bring us all together would be the best news imagineable???All in all a fantastic job. Thanks to all at ROTW.Cheers,Roger

Thank you ROTW,nice idea and professional realization. Will download it as soon as possible. And to add what other FLY!ers already said - it would be a great place to bring together FLY!ers from all over the world virtually, with the new program (I hope it will be possible!).Best regardsGeorg HeliFLYer EDDW

We are negociating for having a golf course included in the major international circuits. Also we should have a very low fee: no agreement at this time, but don't worry, be optimist ;) The situation? Near the Hotel?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/116088.jpgAnother thing: there is an error in the readme file: "RateauxLumineux.pod" must be copied in ...AircraftStuff" folder instead of "sceneryshared". (even it works in this folder).

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Well, you already probably know this, but I was happy to find out that C4TO center vectored me from Gap, handed over to aproach and directed me to ILS runway 16. I have yet to get an ILS vector from the DLL version of C4TO to a runway that DIDN'T have an ILS, so the database updates apear flawless. There is no ground freq of course, but I was told to contact them at "000.00". The fact that C4TO recognised the tower where there was none before says something too. The view out my windsheild looked a bit scary at times, but my radar altimeter told a different story, so the terrain avoidance ability of C4TO was not affected aparently by the modified elevations in the area. Also, if you exit parked at the new community, then reenter in persistent world, you will be ON THE GROUND, not 300 feet up. As for the scenery itself, WOW. I spent a while just taxiing around.I deliberately had "pop buildings into view" set at 0, knowing I would have problems, just so I could compare. My max hits on 256 four miles out went over 500 on my initial aproach. After I landed I set it to 1 but left my tolerance at 20. Makes a HUGE dif in 256 load and frame rate, wondering about playing with the tolerance. It seems a little arbitrary what you see, taxiing up to the terminal a bush suddenly apears next to several others I had seen all along. But the scenery adds a LOT to the experience, and I'd rather things suddenly apear than 4 FPS. Nice little cottage with picket fence...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/116445.jpgTo each their own. Some like to play tenniss, some like to grow things and some like to swim...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/116446.jpgI used the pushback pro to get into a hangar. I then exited, and reentered in persistent world. OOOPS!!!!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/116448.jpgLooks like it's not just me with hangars created by the internal scenery editor that has this problem. I think it would be cool to park in a hangar, then come back parked in it. Maybe making them "soft" would be a solution?http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/116449.jpg
