S13E048 and S13E047?If you only use S13E048, the coordinate South Lon and Sample Widht are wrong (47.000000 South end 1201 x 1201).Subdivide Tolerance :50 Maximum Density : 8x8Dan

Hi Dan!I have 70 HGT files for my project(Madagascar in the Ocean Indian).I use dem2ras to merge them. This is the result with dem2ras: ========= TGA Filename ==========I:dem2rasDago_north.TGA-------- lower left lat lon ------14.00000000N48.00000000W-------- upper right lat lon -----18.00000000N50.00000000W========= DEM Filename ==========I:dem2rasDago_north.ras-------- DEM X,Y samples --------9608,9608-------- lower left lat lon ------14.00000000N48.00000000W-------- upper right lat lon -----18.00000000N50.00000000W========== END OF FILE ==========I use these values in Scenery Import.I put the pod file in scenery /shared, but I don't see any change...Perhaps i must put the lat in negative value too...Grazie for your response.enela

Hi enelaAm I right you are using SRTM-Data ?In this case download 3dembin2ras from Roland Herblot Downloadid=52977 from AVSIM. There you find all information you need to import SRTM-Data into Fly2Harald

Hi Harald, I tried this today with SRTM data for Hawaiian Islands area. I was able to generate the RAS file, but like Enela, I am not sure of the parameters to include for rows / pts. I have tried to do separate areas (Kauai & Niihau; Oahu; Molokai, Lanai, Kahoolawe and Maui, then finally Hawaii) and one complete group (all main islands in one go). Ran the scenery importer, got TRN files generated, but once podded, nothing changed. Any hints on where I went wrong? Many thanks for the help / guidance!Cheers,Ken Wood :-sun1http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/bannernewkw.jpgGateway 700X; Intel P4 2.4GHz; 512MB RAM; NVIDIA Ti4200 4X AGP 128MB; SB Audigy; Thrustmaster TopGun Fox 2 Pro Shock

Hi ElenaYou can use notepad because its a plain text file.Just copy an existing file and change the values. Those are the coordinates of the corners of your scenery and at what position it should be loaded and the name of the Pod.this is an example of one of my SCF-Files which makes 3 pod.files known to Fly2 ==== Begin Scenery File ==== ---- scenery set name ----

" nbr HorizontalHGTTiles=15, it's correct?nbr VerticalHGTTiles: I don't see to what it's refeering...can I use 15 here too? "Enela, Wonder if we need to think of it as such...Horizontal tiles would be same as each degree in longitude...Vertical tiles would be each degree of latitude...sooo... for Oahu, it covers 157 to 159 degrees longitude (2) horiz.and 21 degs north latitude (1) vertical.Or for whole Hawaiian Island chain...18 to 23 N or (5) vertical tiles154 to 161 w or (7) horizontal tilesDan, does the sample width always remain 1201 x 1201 for the scenery importer? Or using the formula, say for entire Hawaiian chain, the sample width is 8406 (1201x7-1) and sample height is 6004 (1201x5-1).Harald - have a safe trip! I am just across FL border in south Georgia (off of Interstate 95)!Ken Wood :-sun1http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/bannernewkw.jpgGateway 700X; Intel P4 2.4GHz; 512MB RAM; NVIDIA Ti4200 4X AGP 128MB; SB Audigy; Thrustmaster TopGun Fox 2 Pro Shock
