CarbonLib 1.6

Recommended Posts

Guest Allan Jones

Upgraded this morning and it seems to be running well. Unfortunately, I forgot to take Fly II benchmarks before updating, but I feel I am seeing an incremental* gain in peformance. Has anyone else checked the "before and after?"According to the docs. CarbonLib 1.6 is for OS 8.6 through 9.X.*small but noticeable if I squint just so! Maybe it's wishful thinking.

Allan,For me, there was a noticeable improvement with system performance when I moved from 8.5 to 9.1 Allthough my Rage Orion acted up at the time. Updated drivers solved that problem. I also installed a 30 gig 7200 rpm hard drive. That seem to help a bit too.I installed CarbonLib 1.6 last week and didn't notice much difference. Unfortunately, I didn't do any benchmarking as well.Rich@KLEWBeige G3 233 MHz DT rev.1 G4 400 MHz NewerTech upgrade OS 9.2.2 384 MB RAM ATI Radeon Mac (PCI) Thrustmaster FCS/WCS
