Great New ATC Mouse Toggled Panel

Recommended Posts

Have you gotten tired of using the keyboard to use the ATC? My Thanks go to Bill Morad, who created the ATC panel that can be toggled on/off and allows you to toggle the ATC commands with the mouse. I posted a question here to see if some expert could do this and lo and behold Bill answered my call with this spledid addon. I have included a screenshot of the C182RG with the gauge installed. The circled area shows the ATC toggle button. The arrow shows the ATC panel. From here you can toggle 0 through 9 to toggle the ATC commands. It is a simple install and Bill wrote a GREAT readme with all the necessary info on installation. He posted it here at Avsim today. Hope you all like it. If you do please tell Bill THANKS, Bob.

The ATC panel is a good idea for those that don't have other options. -however- I've been using "Game Commander" (voice commands) to do the same thing. I say "key" to get the ATC screen to appear, then "one" up to "zero" to trigger a specific response/request. The beauty of it is that the software is uncomplicated, very sensitive and reliable. I recently started using "Flightdeck Companion" and initiate its commands also with Game Commander. Bottom line, I seldom ever have to use the keyboard while flying FS2002. R/Mike (USN)

Hi Mike. I tried the game Commander but my mike was way too sensitive to background sounds. I fly with the TV on and it made a lot of errors. I use the mouse a lot and hate the keyboard. Because of my computer space setup I can't use the keyboard at the same time as my joystick. Bill sure helped me out by designng this gauge. Regards, Bob.

Hi Bob,If you use the Push-to-talk feature with Game Commander then your background noise problem is solved.Take Care,David

Hi. The filename is ATC-Panel.zip in the FS2002 Panels library. It is 884Kb and according to the file count a few minutes ago it was downloaded 686 times so far. It was posted on 28 May 2002, thanks to Bill Morad the author. Hope this helps. You will like it, I do!
