a freeware sound editor to create a klp from a wav sound file?

I am having difficulty finding a freeware tool that will take many good msfs wav files and convert them into FLY2 sound files. Apparently, these wav files need a klp file in order to work. thanks tony

Tony,The .WAV is a regular file, it requires no conversion.The .KLP is just used when you want it to loop. Otherwise you don't need it.Likewise, if you want to control the volume you can also include a .VOL file or else just leave it alone and it will use whatever the .WAV has.By the way, I found this information by searching for "sound" in the SDK documentation (Fly SDK.pdf).Hope this helps,Alejandro AmigorenaCheshire, CTFly! thanks, Alex. Once I opened the klp file, I realized that it was nothing more than a text file. Your explanation, once again, saved me unnecessary confusion and guessing. :-)tony

Hi Tony,I've actually posted 3 times regarding this KLP file, but alas got no responce. If you manage to find out what the numbers control in the klp file could you please let me know. I am aware that these parametres conrol the play and loop for the WAV file, but I cannot get them to play my amended Wav files for the life of me.Cheers John

I will, John. Currently I am analyzing some sound files that were made available for FLY2, and see whether I can pick up a few hints. There are many good msfs sound files that could be incorporated in our Fly projects.tony
