I'm posting this message for those of you who are adventurous enough to try out my caravelle. Nice job so far Roman :)You need to add your shadow acm to the pod, Fly is throwing an error it can't find it, I adjusted the lod file to use the skyhawk shadow and everything loaded up fine. G'day Roman,There is a problem with your pod. It errors out. Please see emailOne of my most vivid aircraft memories is that of a Caravelle landing at Singapore and seeing a huge braking parachute being deployed. ( maybe emergency braking - not certain ) The comet, the aircraft from which the caravelle evolved was a 4 engined aircraft and had reverse thrust on all four so stopping wasn't a problem. I no nothing of the Caravelle except that it was certainly a very beautiful looking aircraft. I have never seen or heard of any other commercial airliner that uses a parachute.Thank you for making this aircraft. Hello Bart!Yes, I've been at your site, and through every tutorial! great work, it's exactly what I need! one problem with your site though, the link at the bottom of page 1 "Next" takes you to http://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/create_a_panel_page_2.html instead of http://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/create_a_p...nel_page_2.html as does every other page after that, but only on that specific tutorial, the other tutorials are perfect! thank you for your help.Fortunately, I have the whole weekend to work on the caravelle! studying the cockpit of this plane is a little hard , I was in it, in flight but I was too young to remember now. I'm happy, though, that this aircraft is substantially well documented about cockpit and instruments. also about .podding aircraft, where would there be documents on that? thankyou my fly people!romanjomar111PS-Bart, did you not create the fly! tutorials for aircraft creation by Paul "bart" Simpson? Hi Roman, Bart, Roger and all,I would like to offer my services as a tester also. I tried the Caravell but it errors out as has been said. I'm sure you can fix it though and am looking forward to trying it.Thanks to all who are working to keep our FLYII alive!Earl

Ok I fixed the little problems you can download a better version of it, I re did textures and added two more spoilers, these two inner spoilers don't work because the "" data has not been added into the .wng file, lights are still not fixed and some details were addedyou can download it at the same url:http://home.comcast.net/~romanrey/caravelle.zipthanx every one!romanjomar111

Great plane, Roman. Since it's a beta , I hope you don't mind some suggestions.The Trim seem ineffective, and the thrust appears too little. The flight model is, however, beautiful. Perhaps I can add a panel soon....Tony

hell yeah! a cockpit!?! that sure would help ease the workload! I've been looking at the cockpit pictures on airliners.net and reading up on some technical stats from some not very well written books, it includes a cockpit scheme (very roughly) but showed a nice outline and layout of the cockpit and instruments, still pretty limited though. I need more info. Hi Roman and all,I love the new plane! It flies great! and looks great too. I can't wait to get the finished version.Now for some things I noticed:I noticed the trim problem. I think the trim is in the maxed out nose up position and needs more up than it has to give. I placed the curser over the trim wheel in the pedistal view and it read 100%. So I assume it is in the maxed out nose up position.I also noticed while on autopilot the plane will climb, level and descend with the flight level gauge ... not sure why it will do that when it needs more up trim available when not in autopilot.I agree the forward thrust seems a bit low. I don't have a clue as to how powerful the real Caravelle was so it may well be totally correct.I confirm the lights are too low and not synced up with correct position on the plane.I didn't have long to fly this time. These are all the things I noticed for now. Again, this is a great plane! :)Congratulations!Earl

Hello allIt is now available in .pod formatI've fixed all the major problems, and I'm very satisfied with the way the plane flies too. I fixed all the problems I had with the weight, Cntr of Gvty, trim, fuel quantity, extr lighting, thrust, high altitude engine efficiency, animation, and textures. I am, i think done except for the cockpit which tony had offered to make the cockpit, so i will wait till then for release. so to any beta testers, give this plane a whack. I think you'll be pretty satisfied with it. Really a great Job !Just a few remarks : - if you have a look to this picture for example ( http://www.airliners.net/open.file/490196/L/) and compare the profile with your bird, I think there is a small design problem with the caravelle nose.- On the same picture, I don't see the upper rear cabin rib that goes to the rear vertical wing (sorry for the translation ). But perhaps there is many different models, I'm not a caravelle specialist at all.- In the Pod file, inside each subfolder there is some empty name files with extension ".DS_STORE". It seems that they are not Fly! files ?Hope this can helpThanks for this "legendary french aircraft"I'm afraid it's a big big job to do the cockpit panel.Cheers

After further research, it seems that the Caravelle III have the upper rib. And the 10B3 super B does not...Am I right ?
