Randall, Few questions for ya...

Recommended Posts

If I TerraScene an area, then remove the TerraScenery, is it still possible to add an airport without the runway headings being messed up?? I tried to add in 93B (Stonington, ME) but keep getting the Magnetic heading as 314 deg instead of 250 deg... Or could it be my import of a few buildings with FSImport playing havoc with my heading? Is there some sort of order to to inputting an airport into the databases before one adds a runway... i.e. should one do the airport pod first, DEXimport it, then comm/dex import, then runway, etc??Und... if I have a runway 07/25, is it listed as having two runways, or one? :-hmmmMany thanks!Ken Wood :-sun1http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/dfdg/bannernewkw.jpgGateway 700X; Intel P4 2.4GHz; 512MB RAM; NVIDIA Ti4200 4X AGP 128MB; SB Audigy; Thrustmaster TopGun Fox 2 Pro Shock

Hi Ken,Well now, that's a lot of questions...:-)1. Adding or subtracting TerraScene should have no effect - a good procedure would be to create the airport first, then render the TerraScenery. Sometimes you'll get help from the slicer's flattening routine in setting the airport runways properly into the terrain.2. You cannot add a runway unless you have an airport - once you have an airport to add runways to, 07/25 would be one runway. 07 would be entered as the low runway end, 25 as the high runway end ID.3. I don't know if FSImport would cause problems, but I certainly wouldn't run the import until the airport and runways had been created. Try it in this order:a. Remove all the airport scenery and restore the original pods so that your experiments are removed. If you didn't back up the pods, then use Vol!Edit to create DEXs to delete the records.b. If 93B doesn't exist in Fly!, create it and import it into the airport pod.c. Create the runways and import them into the runway.pod.d. Create all appropriate COM frequencies and import them into the comm.pod.e. Create the taxiways and/or import the remaining scenery
