Hi,would you think that it is possible to change somewhere in the files for the airspace that the air traffic control (seatac approach or sfo approach) will hand you out to the tower earlyer than just 1 mile before the touchdown?SincerelyTFT

I think Markus Brunner managed to sort that one out, try having a lookon his site, http//: www.geocities.com/in_04I think the answer you are looking for is in the 'readme' fileof his Las Vegas&Portland package, you will probably have to download the package to get it :-)Failing that, somewhere I have the text to a forum reply that Markus posted, when I asked the same question :-)Motormouse<===== goes off to look in his files:-wavePete

Try to experiment with tower control airspace ( expand it ):airspace(name D 0)= within(5 s)I don't remember exact syntax, but important is D for tower controll, name is 3 letter abreviation of the airport. I don't know what means 's' or 'n'. 5 is the radius of tower controll in nm.B.Adamski

Right,I rummaged in my files and found the answer!!You will need to edit the airspace.txt file (for the region you are flying in),the airspace definition etc. can be found in the airspace.txt file for the SAN FRANCISCO region.Use the same rules when modifying the Seattle region. If you don't have San-Fran installed,I could copy the relevant file for you and post it here.Hope this helps:-wavePete
