Ansgar... about the 747-SP ??

Ansgar,I was fooling around with the 747-SP... I wanted to change it from 747-400 to 747-SP on the panel... but as I was using it I discovered that most of the digital readouts were truncated and hard to read... specifically all the red digit ones. I went in to CPD and changed the settings to match those in the 747-400 and they now work great... at least on my copy!http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d2519c166b70e12.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251a0066f9cd5f.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251a4a6763229f.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251a73678b7f52.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251ac668249386.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251add68437d1d.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251b1a68a919dc.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251b3a68d74c25.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251bbb697f4c25.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251bd869b588b5.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251bf869d3c545.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251c276a0101d2.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d251cd26ade5573.jpgWhen you first appeared on the forum talking about how you were going to do a 747 for FU3 I thought you were nuts! :) Everybody knows that FU shines with small GA aircraft... that large jets are usually not done well in the FU series... but you sure proved me wrong! Then you topped that with the DC-3... you are a marvel!Thank you, Sir! :-sun1

Hi Tom,thank you very much for your kind words! The intension for me to start the B747 was easy:I want to fly a big lady in the superb scenery of FU3 and want to create it myself. The scenery and feeling of FS2000 was to "synthetic" for me, and so I decided for FU3. The more I developed it I liked it and so the DC3 I made because there are so much interest for it.But don

Ansgar,I have never been brave enough to attempt a landing in the 747... a luxury we simmers have that real pilots do not have... but I decided to give it a go... and figured I might as well go "whole hog"... and used the 400. It was a perfect landing if I do say so my self! In the pic I'm down to about 25 knots and getting ready to turn off the runway... of course you know FU3... wouldn't give me the big runway! It was perfect... but the AP did all the "heavy lifting" so to speak. Your AP layout is much more intuitative than that in the BeechJet... guess we have Boeing to thank for that. :-lolhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3d278d692cd827cd.jpgI look forward to all you future releases... an improved 747 would be nice... even if it is pretty great as is... an MD-88 would be nice... I'd still love to see a good C-130 (with opening rear doors (I'm not asking much am I :-lol))... like the one in FS.Great stuff! :-sun1
