Dornier 328 Jet

Recommended Posts

Guest

I've been on the lookout for a good FS2k2 model of the Dornier 328 jet. I live in a city where there is a startup airline that exclusively uses this for all its routes (not many right now, about 10 or so I believe). Reason is I may try to do a repaint. I'd prefer one done in GMax, but I also realize beggars can't be choosers... :-)The airlines is based out of Tulsa and flies routes to Albuquerque, OKC, Nashville and Colorado Springs. If anyone knows a place I can find one, please let me know. I've attached a picture of the fleet in question. Thanks!

I've been looking for a while, too, and decided to search the forum before I threw in another topic. I guess by the response you got that there's not one out there! :( I was hoping to fly some in the ACA route network and the Skyway network too...but I guess I'll have to wait a bit longer.Matt

There is one guys. Do a search for Gandalf on one of the download sites. That's the livery its painted. I believe it was for FS2000 but works well and looks great in FS2002. I wish I could remember the file name but I'm at work.Best of luck,ToddKCOE

May seem a little obvious, but have you tried searching Avsim's library under FS2002 aircraft? David Durst packaged three liveries in January this year to go with his panel in do328pl_pnv2.zip. You'll find it, sure enough ...Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

I'm looking for the jet version (300). I already have those, but was just wondering if someone had done a mod to put the jet engines on them.I'll keep looking and let everyone know if I find anything.

Not a problem Mark. The two are pretty easy to get confused, actually. The model that was also mentioned earlier in the thread, I was able to find and download, and I just tested it. It's actually quite a good model, and flies really well, even in FS2k2, being a fs2k model. Now I just need to sit down and learn how to do repaints! Thanks to all again.

Hey Hoss,I start out trying to help you, and this thread ends up helping ME to a new experience. That little Gandalf 'plane is a beaut! I paired it up with Marco Spada's FS2K2 panel (do2k2.zip, on that "other" site) and took it for a trip around the Tri State area .... just wizard. She flies beautifully, and thank you fellows.I also found a couple of other 328JET models, but this seems to be the best to date.Good luck with your repaint. We'll all want a copy!Mark "Dark Moment" Beaumonthttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitak.htmlhttp://www.swiremariners.com/cxkaitakv3.jpg

Thanks for the heads up Dark. I was wondering, and now I know.Again, thanks for pointing that out. I'll wait with bated breath for that one, and hopefully they'll let me use it as my repaint base.

You wouldn't be talking about Great Plains Airlines would you? If so the repaint is already almost done by someone that is starting the Virtual Airline up for it...stay tuned for availability and more on the virtual airline. BTW...that IFDG link does not work

IFDG promised a lot more, but they never made it to release, i bet they have trouble with the server from the website. So don't expect something from them in the near future.Best regards,
