I see that on most shots, the extreme blur near the horizon has been fixed. If you don't know what I'm talking about, see the first Heathrow shot, where there is some blur to the right. You should use some haze, makes everything look more realistic. But the ground detail is great!

The blur near the horizon was due to the lack of lower res levels. Now we have the tools to create those too, so the "done" megatiles are visible up to the horizon. In the Heathrow image, the blur is still visible because there I still have to do some megatiles.I don't use haze these days because I mainly fly for testing purposes, and I need to see the terrain as clearly (and as far) as I can. I just forgot to add some haze before taking the screenshots :)!!!Anyway, all these screenshot appear darker than they were in the game... I don't know why, maybe it happened during the BMP->JPG conversion.Cristian

Hi Tom... Well, I'm not so sure about the altitude, but I think 3-4000 feet is a good guess.I sincerely like this scenery very much... even though it's still flat and lacks 3D models. It's a real pleasure being able to fly (for hours) over a new hi-res area... and even more because I've been there for real :) !!!Cristian

Yes, this is photo-realistic scenery for sure! As soon as you get the elevation worked out this will easily become the best FU3 region. I know, southern England is fairly flat but still...I noticed the color/colour of your rivers and waterways and it struck me that freshwater is rarely azure blue. It's always "enriched" to some extent and comes out looking brownish or greenish.best regards,Hans Petter

Hi Hans,Yes I know, elevation is important. Still, I prefer to complete as much terrain as possible, because I think that textures are even more important. And, I've had major problems in adding elevation! I might be able to do the elevation for coastal areas, but I don't know how to synchronize elevation data with textures for "inland" areas... ?!?As for the water color, I noticed that at once (this also happened in the first two tiles available here at AVSIM, in the River Thames). But that is the color which comes from the original photos, I didn't retouch the images... You can look at the original photos on their site, and see what I mean. I really didn't want to hand-edit each and every river, lake, or pond in the area... :) !!Cristian

Since you're taking requests...Any chance of some screenshots of the Sussex area? Gatwick, Goodwood and Shoreham airports, Brighton, Beachy Head etc would be fantastic.Have you any plans to make your work available via avsim in the future? I'm itching to explore this region.Cheers,Rich.

Hi Rich,No problem for the screenshots of Gatwick, Goodwood, Shoreham and Brighton, I'll post them here ASAP. I don't know where Beachy Head is though ?!?As for making it available via avsim, well... the scenery is almost 3 Gb now... and I have a 56K modem... no way :-( !

Hello Rich, here are some screenshots! This time I resized them and compressed them even more (so the quality is worse), to keep the download time as low as possible. There are: Goodwood (with Chichester), Gatwick, Shoreham, and Brighton.Cheers,Cristian

Thanks for that, it's really impressive even at the reduced size and detail. Can't help but think you need the distance haze set though, I haven't seen visibility like that here for years :-)Cheers,Rich.

Hi Rich,I always forget to raise the haze when taking screenshots! I keep the haze setting at minimum for testing purposes (I have to see my scenery as clearly as possible)... Well, think of it as a lucky crystal-clear day!Cristian
