ONE Minor Debonair Problem Solved, Geof.

Recommended Posts

Guest artl

This problem applies to:1.You are running Geof's deb on the non-proFS2002 version, (I suspect it may be the same on the Pro version)2. You are using that version of panel.cfg which was createdfor NOT using the RealityXP radio stack.THEN:...you may have found that after flying the deb, FS2002may choke when you try to change to another plane or another flight. (You may also get the FS "I have choked" message on exit, but bythen who cares...).The culprit appears to be the entry:gauge19=gps500x!gps, 583,321,181,205in the Vcockpit02 section of panel.cfg.This is the only entry for the "gps500x" gauge in the cfg file, andI suspect it got in there by mistake, right, Geof? The normal gps in the radio stack is mx20gps!gps. I substitutedthe mx20gps!gps here, and all is good. (The whole Vcockpit02 section could be removed, also)I would appreciate a post from someone who can duplicate thissymptom. If anybody knows something about the development of the gps500x gauge, there may be some problem with it that requires a fix ???Art.

I am afraid that I don't understand this post. As far as I can see, the Debonair has no virtual cockpit and hence, has no "Vcockpit02 section of panel.cfg".Barry

That is not exactly the version that is in the library as "patch 1.5"In general it is the same... there are some minor differences in the "VIEWS" section: Patch 1.5 has: VIEW_FORWARD_WINDOWS=0,RADIO_STACK_PANEL,GPS_PANEL,THROTTLE_PANEL,COLLECTIVE_PANELVIEW_FORWARD_DIR=7.0, 0.0, 0.0VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_WINDOWS=36VIEW_FORWARD_RIGHT_ZOOM=6.5VIEW_RIGHT_WINDOWS=35VIEW_RIGHT_ZOOM=3.5VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_WINDOWS=34VIEW_REAR_RIGHT_ZOOM=3.5VIEW_REAR_WINDOWS=33VIEW_REAR_ZOOM=0.0VIEW_REAR_LEFT_WINDOWS=32VIEW_REAR_LEFT_ZOOM=1.5VIEW_LEFT_WINDOWS=31VIEW_FORWARD_LEFT_WINDOWS=30VIEW_UP_WINDOWS=37VIEW_UP_DIR=0.0, 0.0, 0.0plus patch 1.5 has the extra "Vcockpit01" and 02 sections, which are not used,I guess, but were the source of my problem.By the way, it may only be me, but anything inside square brackets, such as section headings, disappear completely from AVSIM posts.Art.

Well I'll be the first to confess I don't know what the deal is-but if your problem got solved I am glad. Here is the process:Upload file to avsim with assumption after testing everything is fine. Start forward on other projects (virtual cockpit etc.) -three days later get a problem from this person or that. Try to reinstall what they have, different configs., etc. end up with part of the new and part of the old.In any case-if you have the vc-it is part of the new-sorry if it caused a problem.Hopefully coming out with the new not too long in the future and then all will be well-for a couple days. :-)http://members.telocity.com/~geof43/geofanim2.gif

Problems, errors, whatever..., it is still a great plane for thesim.... Yeah... the two vcockpit sections are in the 1.5 patch, and I assume if I had the problem, others might, too, so thought I'd let them know.No progress on creeping RPM, yet. The Cessna 182RG in the libraryalso creeps, but not as pronounced... slower and stops somewherearound 1500. However, after racing its engine to 2400 or whatever, and pulling right back, it takes a long time to come back.... SoI feel the deb is not alone. One thing... in the "propeller" section you have fixed_pitch_beta=20.000 while the other a/c all have 0.000Changing it doesn't seem to have any effect, but I was justwondering if a) you were aware of the difference, and :( ifyou knew why :-)Art.
