The Cessna 182 (Steve Hess?) hits the numbers very well, compared to the real one.I spoke with a Beech Bonanza pilot; the V-tail Bonanza shares many characteristics with the Mooney, and from that conversation I realized the Mooney has a very good flight model too. The lone exception is the prop control does not operate correctly when using boost over 22" in cruise.Dan

Hi Tony,The ones I like in FU3,Number 1 for me is the Beaver by Tom Wunder, I have flown a real Beaver from the right seat and the only thing I can find wrong with this one in FU3, the flaps are a over kill, When you apply flaps in a real Beaver the nose dosen't jump up so hard, In fact a real Beaver is a very easy plane to fly, But everything else with this plane is great, The closest Beaver I've ever found to the real thing is by Fred Banting in FS2K2, It's so close to real it'll scare you.I believe the flap deal must be a FU3 thing so I live with it and enjoy Tom's hard work, If you like a Beaver you can control in FU3Give it a tryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e34ad0c09861c60.jpgFound at http://library.avsim.com/sendfile.php?DLID=6177If your liking a Trainer try Tom's Skyhawk, It flies very close to the real thing and you can see were your going, The panel looks like it would from a real plane if your as tall as me, I can always see over them.It also handles very well in our game, Probably very close to the real thing, except for the flap overkill again, If you like to try landing on small areas in FU3 give this one shot, The Ball park roof South of the Seattle Dome http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e34af380d0ac13b.jpgOr maybe you'd like to try a shot at landing on the Dome itself,Hey it's a game Ok, I do this often just to help me gain the flight control of my plane, I feel if I can land here, I can land most anywhere :-lol http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e34b0120ea110f8.jpgYou can find this at http://library.avsim.com/sendfile.php?DLID=6157I also enjoy Tom"s Beech Baron found herehttp://library.avsim.com/sendfile.php?DLID=11760If your into the King Air stage the best I've ever found within our Game, Has A DLM flight file, ( Daniel ) One of the best in our FU3 world, http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e34b6321bb1e9dc.jpgI'll find the link for this if your into the King Air thing, Or maybe Daniel will help me out hereDon't be upset with me, I realize that lots of you take this flight sim world very serious, I use it as a game and have lots of fun every day with that.If I want to be serious about flying I go to the airportHave Fun :-newburnAllan and Puppyhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif

Hi Daniel: At your posting of the King Air address above, I did download it this afternoon. It's truly a nice flying bird. However, I'd like to get other peoples opinions on the in-flight turbo engine sounds, and just how accurate they might be ? While start-up from outside sounds reasonable, I question the high speed, in-flight sound. I will accept the results of the poll. > Jim

I love the sound of the KingAir on startup - I can't comment on its accuracy to reality as I am a desktop flyer only, but I love to hop out of the cockpit and stand (F5) next to the propellors as I start them one by one.Maybe its just as well I'm only a desktop flyer ...Rob D.

Hi Jim,I've never been in a real King Air either, But I do happen to love the sounds of this one by DLM in our game.I really do except the part about this being a game. If I really had true sound from any of these small planes, I'd have to wear ear protection just to fly them in my game. :-lolI have a couple Pilot friends that have been in King Airs and they have told me several times, that they can not believe how close my little game and DLM's King are to the real thing. In regards to looks, flight model, sounds, etc.I will add here again that this is one of my favourites, And I thank Daniel for this and his other add on's for FU3.Did you hear a thump? http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e389dda0e744557.jpgI,m just monkeying around :-lolhttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e389e500f84a941.jpgCruising over the city of Seattle in the FU3 Renagadehttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e389f361156cb24.jpgHave Fun :-newburnAllan and Puppyhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif

OK... I'm prejudiced... my favorite is the Beaver done by Eric Weber & myself... not for the flight model changes I made... mostly horsepower & starter... but for the steering done by Marcus Brunner.
